HOBBIES: Doing spells and experimenting with them, working out, writing stories in a journal which no one gets to see, crying himself to sleep, laughing and telling jokes
BEST MEMORY: When he was 11 and he got his letter, he remembers being so excited in his first class he nearly accidentally blew things up, though he managed to stop it but just barely.  His sister was super excited when he went off to leave, even though his dad wasn't there.  It was the best thing he ever remembers, and he was so happy for leaving home and being able to do magic.  
WORST MEMORY: Probably when his father yelled at him and locked him in the bathroom for about a week after he received his letter and his father kept yelling about how worthless he was and how he would never accept him back home if he went to the castle, and how he had subsequently lived with a friend for the following summers and never got to see his sister again.  Either that or when his mother died, but that's a very fuzzy memory.

Florian was always a weird child, and weird things always happened around him.  His mother ended up dying one time when Florian was trying to fight off some thieves in an alley who attacked the boy and his mother who were out shopping and Florian insisted on taking a shortcut through the alleyway.  However it wasn't the attackers but something weird that killed his mother and scared away the attackers, as Florian had released some magic and his mother was too close and was killed by it, injuring the attackers while he was at it.  His father blames Florian for it, but it wasn't like the little boy could control it and the authorities said it was the attackers who killed her.  Florian was close to his little sister who was born right before his mother died.  He considered himself a friend and protector for his little sister and that attitude made him stand up to bullies around town and at school where he ended up getting injured almost every day because of it.  


Of course his dad was not happy when it turned out he got a letter for a magical school and said that if he was magical why didn't he save his mom all those years ago, and well Florian just ignored it, he didn't want to think about that.  So when the time came Florian stole some money his dad had around the house and went to Diagon Alley, but it turned out his sister followed him, and then later he set off for Hogwarts.  He knew he couldn't return, so he asked his friend Jaxon Williams from school and his parents agreed to house Florian for summers until Jaxon moved out when he was eighteen, so last summer he spent it in Jaxon's apartment.
